4 IL MITOdiventa LEGGENDA i ricercatori di “gemme” I lavelli in Granitgem nascono guardando al mito creato dalla natura. Materiali rivoluzionari ricavati da elementi naturali e ispirati ad una fantasia vitale. Il ricercare e il creare sono necessità da perseguire. Per questa linea di prodotti, CM si é lasciata ispirare dai grandi paesi, dove la natura con i suoi immensi orizzonti offre vita e materia: piante, fiori, marmi, graniti, rocce e argille. Alla ricerca di leggende antiche e miti arcaici. Ampliando lo sguardo a territori lontani, verso immense foreste, ampi parchi, vasti bacini fluviali e incantevoli catene montuose. Oltrepassando il confine, come i ricercatori di gemme, per raggiungere orizzonti e sogni lontani. La natura ci dona la possibilità di evolvere nella ricerca e ci obbliga ad una responsabilità verso la stessa: abbiamo imparato negli anni l’importanza del riciclo e la tecnologia gioca a nostro favore, diventando mezzo fondamentale per il raggiungimento di eccellenti risultati. Come le gemme diventano gioielli preziosi trovando un’anima nei progetti di esperti creativi, così territori come Nevada, Colorado e Oregon, raccontano da secoli storie e leggende, che affascinano e danno ispirazione. Il mito, la leggenda nel nostro fantasticare: Nevada City, fondata nel 1849, l’anno dopo era di fatto la città mineraria più importante della California guadagnandosi il titolo di “Regina delle Miniere del Nord”. Tutte le sue ricchezze ruotavano attorno ai rinvenimenti del Gold Tunnel, sul lato nord del Deer Creek, un affluente del fiume Yuba, la prima miniera della città. Centinaia di uomini trascorsero l’inverno tra il 1849 e il 1850 alla ricerca di oro, vivendo principalmente in tende o capanne frettolosamente costruite. Le storie degli indiani d’America ornati di pietre simboliche con valore vitale, come l’Amazonite del Colorado, indossata come amuleto protettivo. Non può mancare la “pietra del sole” dell’Oregon, chiamata anche Sunstone, formata nelle antiche colate laviche di basalto. Quando il basalto si è esaurito, i cristalli sono stati rilasciati formando una splendida gemma rara, quando viene ruotata, le inclusioni di rame ed ematite riflettono indietro la luce, diffondendo nella gemma straordinari bagliori dorati. CM ha seguito con curiosità questi miti e ha voluto ritrovare in GRANITGEM una materia capace di essere espressione creatrice di oggetti immutabili nel tempo in resistenza e design. 5 Granitgem sinks were inspired by the legends of nature.These are revolutionary materials formed from natural elements and inspired by a vibrant imagination. Humans have a need to research and create things and for this product line, CM was inspired by scenes of the wide open countryside, where the vast horizons of natural landscapes offer us life and substance: trees, flowers, marble, granite, rock and clay. In search of ancient myths and archaic legends, we looked towards distant lands with endless stretches of forest, natural parks, vast river basins and breathtaking mountains. Like gem hunters, we pushed into new territory to reach unknown horizons and distant dreams. Nature allows us to evolve our research - but also imposes a responsibility on us. Over the years, we’ve learned the importance of recycling. Technology is now on our side, and is a fundamental part of achieving an excellent result. In the same way that gemstones become precious jewels as they find an expression in the work of creative designers, territories such as Nevada, Colorado and Oregon have for centuries concealed stories and legends that captivate and inspire. Myth and legend in our imagination: Nevada City was founded in 1849; just a year later it had become the largest mining town in California, earning itself the title “Queen City of the Northern Mines”. Its wealth of natural resources all revolved around the Gold Tunnel on the north side of Deer Creek, a tributary of the Yuba River, the site of the city’s first mine. Between 1849 and 1850, hundreds of men passed the winter there in search of gold, living mainly in tents or hastily-constructed huts. Stories were told by Native Americans adorned with gemstones symbolising the life force, such as Amazonite mined in Colorado and worn as a protective amulet.Then of course there is sunstone, from Oregon, which formed in the ancient basalt lava flows.When the basalt ran out, crystals were released, forming a beautiful and rare stone. When you turn it, the copper and hematite inclusions refract the light, diffusing beautiful golden rays.Curious to learn more about these legends, CM designed GRANITGEM as a creative expression of an object whose design and durability will never change over time. I lavelli in Granitgem si presentano con le numerose colorazioni, dal candido bianco Howlite al caldo Terra di Agata. Studi cromatici e materici hanno dato origine ad un nero Ossidiana, un Grigio Quarzo e ad un edenico Grigio Tormalina. Un ventaglio di possibilità estetiche fanno dell’oggetto un lavello capace di interpretare l’ambiente, integrandosi con stili e linee estremamente attuali. QUALITY PRODUCT A material with a great touch & feel, impact resistant, durable and easy-clean. Granitgem sinks are available in many different colourations, from brilliant white Howlite to the warm earthy tones of Agate. Our tests on colour and texture led to the creation of a Black Obsidian, Grey Quartz and a heavenly Grey Tourmaline. Thanks to this wide range of aesthetic options, the sink communicates with any setting, blending perfectly with the styles and lines of the moment. PRODUCT EASY TO CLEAN The surfaces of CM sinks are non-porous, so they can be quickly cleaned using a normal liquid detergent and the simple action of a soft cloth or sponge. The sink will always be fresh, clean and hygienic. We recommend regular daily cleaning to instantly remove stains, food residues and streaks due to limescale. 24 CURA E MANUTENZIONE CARE AND MAINTEINANCE CURA E MANUTENZIONE ORDINARIA La base è la pulizia frequente e regolare del lavello. La superfice dei lavelli consente una veloce pulizia utilizzando un normale detergente liquido per piatti assieme ad una spugna non abrasiva. Dopo aver pulito il lavello con movimenti circolari, sciacquarlo con acqua tiepida ed asciugarlo con un panno in microfibra. Un ulteriore step per la detersione dei lavelli CM in materiale composito, consigliato una volta a settimana, é l’utilizzo del comune olio d’oliva: dopo aver pulito il lavello come di consueto, stendere l’olio su tutta la superficie con l’aiuto di un panno e lasciarlo agire durante la notte. Il giorno seguente utilizzare il lavello come al solito. Questa semplice operazione darà al lavello un aspetto lucido e riporterà i colori allo stato iniziale. CURA E MANUTENZIONE STRAORDINARIA È nostra premura informare i clienti che, per rimuovere macchie ostinate sui lavelli in composito di colore chiaro si consiglia di lasciare sul fondo vasca del lavello una soluzione di candeggina e acqua tiepida (è consigliabile effettuare questa operazione durante le ore notturne), risciacquando, il giorno dopo, abbondantementeed asciugando accuratamente con un panno in microfibra tutta la superficie. Per rimuovere macchie ostinate sui lavelli in composito di colore scuro si consiglia di utilizzare un detersivo per piatti e, con l’aiuto di una spugna non abrasiva, pulire il lavello con movimenti circolari. Al termine dell’operazione, risciacquare il lavello con abbondante acqua tiepida ed asciugare la superficie con un panno morbido in microfibra. Per preservare le caratteristiche originarie del prodotto Vi consigliamo di leggere attentamente le istruzioni indicate nel manuale d’installazione all’interno dell’imballaggio. REGULAR CARE AND MAINTEINANCE The base is a regular and daily cleaning of the sink. The surface of our sinks allows a quick cleaning using a normal liquid dish detergent together with a not-abrasive sponge. After have cleaned the sink with circular movements, rinse it with warm water and dry it with a microfiber cloth. An extra step for CM’s composite sinks cleaning, that we recommend once a week, is the use of the common olive oil: in fact, we suggest – after have cleaned the sink regularly as usual – to spread the olive oil in all the sink surface, helping us with a cloth, and let it work all night long. The day after, use the sink as usual. This simple operation will give to your sink a bright aspect and it will bring the sink colours back to the initial state. EXTRAORDINARY CARE AND MAINTEINANCE Is our care to inform our customers that, to remove stubborn stains from light coloured composite sinks we recommend to lay – in the bottom of the sink – a solution of bleach and of warm water (is advisable to make this operation during night hours), by rinsing abundantly the day after and drying all the surface carefully with a microfibre cloth. To remove stubborn stains from dark coloured composite sinks we recommend to use a dish soap and, using a not-abrasive sponge, clean the sink with circular movements. After that, rinse the sink plentifully with warm water and dry its surface with a soft cloth in microfibre material. To prevent stains and limestone halos we recommend a descaling treatment once a week, by leaving in the sink bottom – for a few hours - a solution of warm water and vinegar. Brush the compound energetically with a soft sponge and take off all the stains; then, rinse plentifully with warm water and dry the surface with a microfibre cloth carefully. Is possible to remove the scale also with some specific descaling anti-limescale agents, leaving them work for few minutes, then rinse and dry carefully as above indicated. To preserve the original features of the products, we suggest you to carefully read the instructions indicated in the installation manual inside the packaging.
